    How long does shipping take?

    Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days. Once shipped, estimated delivery time is 5 to 10 business days for most destinations worldwide.

    Once shipped, you will receive a tracking email with your order number and a live tracking link.

    Do you offer free shipping?

    Yes. Free standard shipping is available on all orders over $50. Orders under $50 are charged a flat shipping fee at checkout based on your destination.

    Do you ship internationally?

    Yes, we ship to 40+ countries worldwide. Simply enter your address at checkout and available shipping options will appear automatically. If your country is not listed, contact us at hello@buddhive.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    How do I track my order?

    As soon as your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use that number on the carrier's website or visit our Order Status page to follow your shipment in real time.

    If you have not received a tracking email within 48 hours of placing your order, please check your spam folder or contact our support team.

    My package shows as delivered but I haven't received it. What should I do?

    First, check around your delivery address (front door, mailbox, with a neighbor) and wait 24 hours as carriers sometimes scan packages early. If your package still has not arrived, contact us at hello@buddhive.com with your order number and we will open an investigation with the carrier.

    🔄 Returns & Refunds
    What is your return policy?

    We offer a 30-day hassle-free return policy. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.

    Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Items that have been used, damaged, or altered are not eligible for return.

    How do I start a return?

    To initiate a return, email us at hello@buddhive.com with:

    • Your order number
    • The item(s) you wish to return
    • The reason for the return (optional but helpful)

    Our team will reply within 24 hours with a return authorization and instructions. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error.

    How long does it take to receive my refund?

    Once we receive and inspect your return, we process the refund within 3-5 business days. The funds will appear on your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

    What if my item arrived damaged or broken?

    We are sorry to hear that. Please email hello@buddhive.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We will send a replacement or issue a full refund at no additional cost to you — no need to return the damaged item.

    Can I exchange an item for a different one?

    Yes. Email us with your order number and the item you would like instead. If the new item has a different price, we will either charge the difference or issue a partial refund. Exchanges are processed within 2-3 business days of us receiving your return.

    Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

    We process orders quickly, but if you need to make a change, contact us at hello@buddhive.com as soon as possible with your order number. If your order has not yet shipped, we can usually modify or cancel it. Once shipped, we cannot make changes, but you can initiate a return after receiving the package.

    I made a mistake in my shipping address. What should I do?

    Contact us immediately at hello@buddhive.com with your order number and the correct address. If your order has not yet shipped, we will update the address at no charge. If it has already shipped, we cannot redirect the package in transit, so please ensure your address is correct before confirming your order.

    I haven't received my order confirmation email. What should I do?

    Please check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not there, the email address entered at checkout may have a typo. Contact us at hello@buddhive.com with the name and email used at checkout and we will resend your confirmation.

    Are your products genuinely handcrafted?

    Yes, every piece in our collection is handcrafted by artisans in Asia. We make annual sourcing trips across Thailand, Nepal, Tibet, Vietnam, and Cambodia to select items directly from the workshops that make them. No mass production, no dropshipping from generic suppliers.

    Because each piece is made by hand, minor variations in color, texture, or size are normal and are a sign of authentic craftsmanship.

    How are your artisans selected?

    We visit workshops in person during our Asia sourcing trips. We look for artisans who have practiced their craft for generations, use traditional techniques, and source their materials ethically. We prioritize long-term partnerships so that craftspeople benefit from consistent, fair-paying work.

    Do the products come with a certificate of authenticity?

    Selected pieces (notably bronze statues and thangkas) come with a card describing the item's origin and artisan. For all products, detailed sourcing information is available in the product description on our website. If you need specific documentation for a particular item, please contact us before ordering.

    How are orders packaged?

    All orders are packed in reinforced, anti-shock packaging to prevent damage in transit. Statues and fragile items are individually wrapped in protective foam. Every order also comes in a gift-ready presentation box, making it a perfect gift straight from the shipping box.

    Are your products available in physical stores?

    Currently, Buddhive is exclusively online. This allows us to keep our prices fair and offer a wider selection than any single physical store could carry. We do occasionally participate in pop-up events in major cities — follow us on social media to stay informed.

    What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all major payment methods:

    • Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
    • PayPal
    • Apple Pay and Google Pay
    • Shop Pay (installment payments available)
    Is my payment information secure?

    Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, which uses 256-bit SSL encryption and is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest security standard for online payments. We never store your full card number on our servers. All transactions are processed through our secure payment partner, Stripe.

    Will I be charged customs or import duties?

    For orders within the United States, no customs duties apply. For international orders, your country may charge import duties or taxes upon delivery. These fees are not included in our prices and are the customer's responsibility. We recommend checking your country's import threshold before ordering. We are not able to mark orders as "gifts" to avoid customs fees.

    Can I pay in my local currency?

    Our prices are displayed in USD. If you are paying with a non-USD card, your bank will convert the amount at the current exchange rate. Some credit cards may charge a small foreign transaction fee — check with your card issuer for details.

    Do I need to be Buddhist to buy from Buddhive?

    Not at all. Our customers come from all backgrounds. Some are practitioners seeking authentic tools for their spiritual practice. Others simply appreciate the artistry, meaning, and beauty of Buddhist art. All are welcome. Each product page includes context about the cultural and spiritual significance of the item so you can make an informed, respectful choice.

    How do I choose the right Buddha statue for my space or practice?

    Each Buddha posture (mudra) carries a different meaning and energy:

    • Meditation (Dhyana mudra): Both hands resting in the lap. Best for creating a peaceful, contemplative space.
    • Protection (Abhaya mudra): Right hand raised, palm outward. Offers safety and fearlessness.
    • Earth touching (Bhumisparsha): Right hand pointing to the ground. Represents enlightenment and unshakeable resolve.
    • Laughing Buddha: Not a traditional Buddha figure, but a symbol of joy, abundance, and good fortune.

    How do I use a singing bowl?

    Place the bowl on your open palm (or on a cushion). Strike the rim gently with the mallet to begin the sound, then slowly circle the mallet around the outside of the rim with light, even pressure to sustain a continuous tone. The bowl's vibration is used for meditation, sound healing, chakra work, and space clearing. Each of our singing bowls is accompanied by a care and use guide.

    What is a mala and how do I use it?

    A mala is a string of 108 prayer beads used in Buddhist and Hindu meditation. You hold the mala in one hand and use your thumb to move one bead at a time with each breath or mantra repetition. The 108 beads represent 108 earthly temptations to overcome on the path to enlightenment. Our malas are made with certified natural stones and hand-knotted between each bead for durability.

    How do I care for my Buddhist items?

    General care tips by item type:

    • Bronze/brass statues: Dust with a soft dry cloth. Avoid water and chemical cleaners. A light application of mineral oil prevents tarnishing.
    • Wooden items: Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture. Treat with beeswax polish occasionally.
    • Mala beads (gemstones): Avoid contact with water, perfume, or lotions. Store flat or hung to prevent knot stress.
    • Singing bowls: Keep dry. Do not immerse in water. Clean with a soft cloth.
    • Incense: Store in a dry, dark place in an airtight container to preserve fragrance.
